Connect from your own laptop or phone
Windows already has the app built in: press Start and type Remote Desktop Connection. On a Mac, iPhone or Android, install the free Windows App from the store. Paste in the address, username and password from the email, and the desktop opens on your screen.

- I have never used this before. What exactly am I buying?
- A Windows computer that lives in our building and runs 24 hours a day. You connect to it from your own laptop or phone and you see a normal Windows desktop on your screen. It stays switched on even when your own device is off.
- How do I actually connect to it?
- Windows already has the app built in: press the Start button and type Remote Desktop Connection. On a Mac, iPhone or Android, install the free Windows App (formerly Microsoft Remote Desktop) from the store. Paste in the address, username and password we email you, and the desktop opens.
- Do I need to install or set anything up myself?
- No. Windows is already installed and the computer is already switched on when you receive the email. You log in and use it like any other Windows PC.
- Does my own computer need to stay on?
- No, and that is the main reason people buy one. Your programs keep running on our side day and night. You can close your laptop, travel, or connect from a different device and find everything exactly where you left it.
- Which size should I choose if I am not sure?
- Start small. Almost everyone is comfortable on one of the lower plans for browsing, office work and one or two programs. If it feels slow later, open a ticket and we move you to a bigger size - you keep the same computer and the same setup.
- Can I choose which country it is in?
- Yes. Pick the country in the table above before you order, and the computer plus its internet address will be in that country. If you need to change country later, open a ticket and we move you.
- Can several people use it at the same time?
- One person at a time is included. If two or more people need to be logged in together, open a ticket and we will tell you what that needs before you order.
- What if something breaks or I get locked out?
- Open a ticket and a real person answers, usually the same day. Resetting the password or putting the computer back to a clean state takes us a few minutes and it is free.
- Can I cancel whenever I want?
- Yes. There is no contract and no cancellation fee. You pay for the period you chose, and if you do not renew it simply stops.
